Four new double-deck buses have joined the Stagecoach fleet in Blairgowrie for regional services between Perth and Dundee

Bus users in the Blairgowrie area are getting a festive boost, says local operator Stagecoach, thanks to the introduction of four new double-deck buses into its fleet thanks to an investment of around £1m. The new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s feature the latest technology, including automatic low bridge alerts as well as USB phone charging points at every seat.

The vehicles will operate on the operator’s route 57, which operates up to every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly at the weekend between Perth and Dundee via Coupar Angus and Blairgowrie. Operations Director at Stagecoach East Scotland David Frenz said: “It’s fantastic to bring this investment to the Blairgowrie area, improving the fleet standard in the region. Staff at our Blairgowrie depot take such a pride in their buses and giving them this gift, ahead of the festive season is a real boost for the depot and for the thousands of customers who choose to travel with Stagecoach in this area.”
