Major Polish operator Sindbad has taken delivery of 22 coaches from Mercedes Benz and Setra, including 10 Mercedes Benz Tourismos and 12 Setras, including six double-deck S 531 DTs.
A spokesperson for Daimler Buses said: “Sinbad’s 40-year history is also characterised by 30 years of excellent cooperation with the Mercedes-Benz and Setra brands. The trust in our products, for which we would like to express our sincere thanks, has been reflected in their success and has certainly set high standards for Polish and European bus transport.”
The new buses will drive forward the conversion of the operator’s full fleet to vehicles with Euro VI engines. Sindbad’s core business is international routes, and it also offers school and private hire services as well as business travel. Based in Opole, the company employs almost 500 people and its fleet currently consists of 121 buses, including 19 Mercedes-Benz and 101 Setra vehicles.
