Fuel ‘crisis’ hits Showbus figures

The recent fuel ‘crisis’ meant entries and visitors to this year’s Showbus event were down by around a third, though a good showing of heritage vehicles was enjoyed. Organisers’ spokesman Dr Martin Isles revealed the problem after reviewing receipts from Britain’s biggest bus and coach event, which took place at the Hertfordshire Showground on 26 September. “We were hit by the fuel problem but it was still really good event,” said Martin. “‘We’ve had a lot of favourable comments.”
