Jonathan Welch speaks to the JG Travel Group about its acquisition of National Holidays and its post-pandemic plans
There has been much change in the UK and international holiday scene over the last two years, most of it a direct or indirect consequence of the coronavirus pandemic. The collapse of the Specialist Leisure Group in May 2020 was a turning point for the coach industry, and the following months saw its brands re-emerge under new owners; the Shearings name was taken on by international tour specialists Leger Holidays, whilst its National Holidays brand was acquired by the JG Travel Group, owners of UK coach tour operator Just Go! Holidays.
