Employee-owned Alfa Leisureplex Group has invested in 10 new touring coaches to make its coach holiday fleet 100% Euro VI compliant

Alfa Travel has welcomed 10 new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches as it expands its fleet to cater for a what it said has been a significant increase in demand for its UK holidays. The new additions see the whole fleet now Euro VI-compliant. The group has also welcomed the first David Urquhart-branded coach to its fleet for customers travelling from Scotland, following the success of the relaunch of the brand last year.

Alfa Travel Managing Director Emma Russell said: “We are delighted to welcome these new vehicles to the fleet. This is a major investment and demonstrates our commitment to providing customers with high quality holidays, with the highest standards to safety, comfort and the most environmentally friendly way to travel.

“The safety of our customers is of utmost importance to us and therefore all coaches in our fleet are now fitted with Webfleet telemetry, Lytx camera systems and high specification viral filters, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday knowing you are in safe hands.”

The new vehicles are fitted with free on-board WiFi and USB charging sockets to keep customers connected and stylish seats providing maximum comfort. After a review of its fleet requirements in 2021, Alfa Travel said it took the decision to retain its partnership with Mercedes-Benz that has been in place since 2011. Paul Bull, Alfa’s Operations Director, added: “It was a very competitive field with excellent standards of quality but it is a big decision to change when the entire fleet is one brand and relationships are established with dealer networks.”
