A London bus route once famous for being operated by buses on a one minute frequency enjoyed a full timetable of classic vehicles for a special event recently. Route 101, from Wanstead to Woolwich via Manor Park, East Ham and Beckton, has been operating in various forms since 1914. The London Bus Museum organised a running day on 26 March, with some 30 classics scheduled including AEC RTs and Routemasters, Leyland RTLs and Titans, MCW Metrobuses and star of the show for some – wartime-specification Guy Arab G351.
