GERMANY

Ebusco has been awarded a framework agreement with German operator Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s largest public transport operator, which will make the Dutch manufacturer DB’s primary supplier of zero-emission buses for the 2023-2024 period, with the option to extend to 2025 and 2026. Ebusco said the contract represents a key step in strengthening its presence in the German market, which it sees as strategically important.

The buses will be put into service at multiple public transport authorities across Germany. As part of the agreement, Ebusco has agreed a call-off contract for approximately 260 buses, which will materialise if and when Deutsche Bahn obtains the related concessions in the period 2023-2026. The maximum order volume under the framework agreement could be up to 800 buses in a variety of configurations over the total contract period.
