Towlers changes hands but classic Bedford doesn’t!

Renowned Fenland operator Towlers of Emneth has changed hands, though the family selling the business has retained its well-known preserved 1952 Bedford SB. In a statement, the previous owners of the firm, which has traded for 90 years, said that services, vehicles and drivers would remain unchanged.

“Mark Towler, Wendy Shepherd, Anton Towler and Joanne Walton, and of course not forgetting most importantly Alan Towler would like to send a massive thank you to every single person over the 90 years of trading, who has worked for us, hired our coaches or had any dealings with the company in any way. It’s been a blast,” the family said. “We wish the new directors all the very best for the future.”
