With the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations taking place this week, what better open-top bus tour to take than the one that presents her most favourite place to be; Richard Sharman finds out why

The United Kingdom has some beautiful countryside, towns and cities to visit and it is fair to say that Windsor ranks very highly on that list. Pre-pandemic at least, it was on every foreign tourist’s list of places to visit, alongside the likes of London, Blenheim Palace, Stonehenge, Bath and Edinburgh Castle.

The walk from the Alma Road car park to the town centre is picturesque a one, with peaceful Alexandra Gardens to left of the coach park and the Diamond Jubilee Fountain across the road, which is a big attraction in the warmer months.
