One Sunday evening I was watching David Attenborough on the TV while composing this first column for CBW. I love David and many would describe him as a ‘national treasure’ of whom we should be immensely proud. But what about the team who support him, including the PSV drivers who make sure all his crew get to the right place at the right time – and no doubt for the right price. And what about all other commercial vehicle drivers – they are certainly our own national treasures and events of the past two years have shown this to be the case. But it is sad that it took a global pandemic to make society appreciate our fabulous profession and everyone in it.
