A Lancashire operator is restoring a unique Leyland Leopard as a tribute to vehicles once operated by a former company. Red Rose Travel of Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, aims to use the coach as a preserved vehicle when complete.
The vehicle’s chassis began its career with a Plaxton Panorama body carrying the registration WHA 236H as a member of the Midland Red fleet. In 1982 the coach received a new Plaxton Supreme body and was re-registered SNC 366X. It re-entered service with Mayne, Manchester and later worked for North Somerset Coaches.
