Specialist bus and coach insurance broker McCarron Coates has been shortlisted for three awards in the Insurance Times Awards 2022. The commercial insurance broker has been shortlisted in the Commercial Lines Broker of the Year, Specialist National Broker of the Year and Marketing Campaign of the Year – B2B categories.

McCarron Coates said the finalist shortlistings reflect its business success and growth as a brokerage, both in financial and employee terms, and its innovative strategies and approaches. The broker’s guidance for HGV and LGV drivers on the issue of liability following
the launch of the new 2022 Highway Code, its actions to help reduce theft and diesel spillages within the HGV markets and its insights for coach operators seeking to relaunch businesses and operations to the full after Covid-19, are some of the things that helped to distinguish it.

The shortlistings follow on from awards success in 2021, when McCarron Coates was awarded the title of the Commercial Lines Broker of the Year at the UK Broker Awards and the winner of the Commercial Lines Specialist Broker of the Year at the National Insurance Awards. In 2019, the company was a double winner at the Insurance Times Awards, winning both a Gold and Silver award.

The 2022 results will be announced at a gala dinner in London on December 8 at the Grosvenor House Hotel. Director Paul Coates said: “We are delighted to be named finalists in the Insurance Times Awards 2022 and to be shortlisted in three different categories is quite an achievement.

“Our approach to insurance broking is a very holistic one and we like to think that our partnering mentality, ability to analyse and respond to key issues within our markets and our exciting and customer-focused marketing strategies, make us more than just a broker in our clients’ eyes. Having external endorsement for this viewpoint is extremely satisfying.”
