A bio-methane powered single deck bus which has been transformed by Reading Buses into its ‘climate stripes’ bus was the backdrop to Reading Football Club’s official first team photo for the 2022-23 season.
Professor Ed Hawkins, a climatologist at the University of Reading who designed the ‘conversation starter’ climate stripes, joined the squad for a photo, along with representatives from Reading Buses and Reading Borough Council, which are both putting sustainability high on their agenda and used the opportunity to launch the Council’s four-week Climate Change Awareness Month which began on 7 November.
