Anadolu Isuzu is expanding its reach further in the Republic of Ireland, having appointed EVM Direct Ireland as its main distributor. Sister company EVM UK started a partnership with Anadolu Isuzu from Turkey in June last year to distribute its range of buses and coaches in the UK market. EVM will now expand on this through EVM Ireland, based in Killbeggan, Co Westmeath.
Anadolu Isuzu first entered the UK market with EVM with the introduction of its 39-passenger Visigo RHD produced under the AOS brand, followed in November 2022 by the AOS Grand Toro midicoach. Both models have already gained popularity with multiple new factory orders being placed with the Turkish factory.
The manufacturer is continuing its drive to strengthen its sales and service network in international markets, and says it aims to reach higher sales figures and a wider customer base in the Republic of Ireland market with EVM Direct Ireland through the new distributorship agreement.
“From the moment I initially visited Anadolu Isuzu in Turkey, I could recognise this was a high-quality, high-volume manufacturer with a focus on technical precision. This approach fits in with EVM’s vision for all of our product range,” said Danny McGee, Managing Director. “With EVM Direct Ireland having premises, existing infrastructure and relationships with the ROI market, it seemed like a natural progression for us to expand our distribution with Anadolu Isuzu into the Irish market. We’ve already had great success with the Visigo product with a number of units already working in the UK for the last few months. We have already agreed multiple sales of the Grand Toro 35- and 37-seater, with the first units just starting to be delivered as we speak. Customer feedback and reactions have been great to the products and we expect much more success moving forward.”
“As Anadolu Isuzu, we have recently reached significant momentum in international markets with our medium-size coach and bus models that fully meet the needs of modern municipalities and tour operators,” added Tugrul Arikan, General Manager of Anadolu Isuzu. “With our sustainability-first approach, the vehicles we produce in our production facilities with smart factory features serve in the transport sector in 45 countries in the world as of today. Each year, our environmentally friendly, low-emission, modern and safe vehicles are preferred more and more in European cities. I am very pleased with the success we have already achieved with EVM UK and I am pleased that we have now signed a distributorship agreement with EVM Ireland. I strongly believe that we will achieve great success with EVM in Ireland as we have done in the UK, which we know is one of the most demanding markets in Europe. With our tailor-made production capability, we strive to fully meet the demands and needs of our customers, and we attach great importance to their satisfaction.”
