There was much of interest at the recent ALBUM conference in Edinburgh, as Jonathan Welch reports

Over three days in late April, the 2023 ALBUM (Association of Local Bus Company Managers) conference took place in Edinburgh, at the city’s Sheraton hotel and hosted by Lothian Buses. Delegates from small and medium-sized independent operators, along with suppliers and manufacturers large and small gathered for two days of conference discussions preceded by a day of convivial social networking opportunities and brought to a close by a gala dinner. Sharing the view echoed by many, CBW enjoyed the opportunity to meet with familiar faces and make new connections. In the first half of this two-part look back, we catch up with some of the exhibitors, find out about new products and services, and hear how suppliers and manufacturers found 2023’s event; stay tuned for next week’s issue, in which we’ll take a look at some of the topics which came under the microscope of the experienced speakers and panellists.
