Iveco Bus has inaugurated its new Foggia plant, where it will produce zero- and low-emission buses. Once fully up to speed the new facility will employ 100 specialised staff on production lines which Iveco says are equipped with the most advanced industry technologies. The manufacturer expects the production volume of the plant to be 1,000 vehicles per year, including battery-electric, hydrogen electric and low-emission (methane/biomethane, traditional fuels and biofuels) buses.
The plant has been designed to emit zero net CO2 emissions, with 100% of its energy coming from renewable sources, including over 1,000 photovoltaic panels that produce 640mWh per year. The Iveco Group already had a presence in the area, and has invested approximately €40 million in the new facility.

In this way, we will provide the Italian public transport sector with our most technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable vehicles.”
