A major new book takes us on an alphabetic tour of 1960 to mid 1980s British buses from Aberdeen to York, reports Nick Larkin

Major museums and archives along with individuals have contributed more than 200 never before seen photos for a new book entitled ‘Town and City Buses.’ Published by Capital Transport (ISBN 978 1 85414 480 5), CBW has kindly been given the go-ahead to publish a selection of interesting and evoactive images from the 160-page book to mark its release.

The co-authors are well-known writers Stewart J Brown and Kevin McCormack. Said Stewart: “It’s been really enjoyable working on this book which is something different, and many people have helped. We and the publisher are very grateful to the various archives and individuals who have searched their files for images.”
