We’re not sure this picture needs much explanation, a classic bus and a classic road-roller, what’s not to like?! But for the more technically minded, the bus in question is Leicester Transport Heritage Trust’s UFP 233S, an East Lancs Dennis Dominator new in 1977, and the first production example of the type. Altogether older, Armstrong Whitworth 10-ton road roller BD 7511 alongside was new in 1923. The pair were pictured on 17 June by Emily Whitlam during an event to celebrate 50 years of the Great Central Railway.
