Who doesn’t like a nice, well-prepared, well-presented, … sightseeing coach? The Spanish-built Ayats Bravo double-decker is quite rare in the UK but has formed the basis of a number of sightseeing bus fleets, including for City Sightseeing. One rather more unique variant is that operated by Bustronome on gastronomic tours of London and Paris, with panoramic windows on its upper deck and an almost full glass ceiling, giving diners a spectacular view of the city as they are taken through a six-course dinner.
Each evening dinner trip lasts around 2 hours and 45 minutes, and prices range from around £50 to £150. The tour offers an audio commentary in nine languages. CBW’s Sarah Ward recently took a trip:
“I recently had the chance to experience a six-course unique dining experience on top of Bustronome’s double-decker bus that has been fitted with glass all around, including the roof, to give you a great 360-degree view of some of London’s top landmarks,” she reports.
