Double-decks in disguise

Whilst walking along Manchester’s Hyde Road recently (no prizes for guessing where he’d been, look out for a feature soon!), Jonathan Welch spotted this not-so-pretty-looking, not-so-little thing parked on the forecourt of a used car dealer. The all-over wrap is for UK-based fashion company Pretty Little Thing, though does no favours for the appearance of the Ayats Bravo double-decker hiding underneath.

Another double-deck coach in alternate use was captured on camera was Van Hool Astromega A2 XXW. A sister vehicle to the one now preserved by Sir Brian Souter at the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust’s Bridgton garage, the coach as in use as a confidential counselling and well-being space for mental health charity SAMH in Edinburgh.
