An important, if still modern-looking vehicle has been preserved for posterity at family-run Delaine Buses, reports Nick Larkin

The first low floor vehicle delivered to Delaine Buses is now preserved as part of the renowned heritage fleet of vehicles new to the operator.

X7 OCT, a Volvo B7TL with East Lancashire Coachbuilders Vyking bodywork in H45/31F format, was withdrawn from service on 22 December last year, 23 years to the day since it first entered service in 2000.
