Open-top buses came to the fore in Leicester, and Emily Whitlam was there to capture them on camera

Leicester City Council has been one of the more proactive local councils when it comes to bus services, but recently it was Leicester City Football Club which brought buses into the spotlight in the city, with a four-bus open-top parade to mark its return to the Premier League after an away win at Preston North End. Celebrating its eighth second-tier title, the club said it wanted to thank supporters by staging an ‘unforgettable’ occasion, which also included big screens and music as part of its Straight Back Up’ celebration.
