Iveco Bus and ÖBB Postbus are furthering their long-standing cooperation with the signing of a third multi-year framework contract for the supply of more than 900 Iveco Crossway and Crossway LE buses by the end of 2028. Deliveries of the first 550 units will be spread over the next two years, with the remaining 350 units following by the end of 2028. With a fleet of around 2,200 units, ÖBB Postbus will have the largest fleet of Iveco Crossways in operation in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland region, and one of the largest in Europe.

Giorgio Zino, Head of Iveco Bus’ Europe Commercial Operations, said: “We are proud to have been selected once again for this third framework contract. ÖBB Postbus’ renewed trust in us represents a major success for our brand, and we warmly thank them for their continued support of our Crossway models, which is increasingly establishing itself as a leader in the Austrian market. It is an honour to support ÖBB Postbus in its mission to make journeys even more attractive.”

ÖBB Postbus Board Member Alfred Loidl added: “We are very pleased to continue our long-standing successful collaboration with Iveco Bus. Modernising the fleet not only improves passenger safety, but also meets the growing demand in bus transportation across all segments. The aim is to offer passengers an even more high-quality and comfortable service on their journeys.”

The buses will be a mix of high-floor and low-entry models.
