Bus Users UK has officially launched its Partner Pack for this September’s Catch the Bus Month 2024. The focus for this year is on accessibility and the Partner Pack contains a suite of free-to-use logos, graphics and posters in English and Welsh, highlighting the impact buses have on people’s lives. There are also details of how to get hold of the campaign’s Catch the Bus Month giant red hands. There’s also an extensive list of ideas for campaigns, partnerships, events, promotions and collaborations aimed at transport providers, local authorities, charities, passenger and community groups and anyone with an interest in promoting sustainable, accessible transport.
Alongside campaign suggestions is a template press release that can easily be tailored to an organisation’s own brand and chosen activity, and there are signposts to some of the latest research and surveys on bus use and transport accessibility.
Launching the Partner Pack, Campaign Manager Victoria Walker said: “2024 promises to be an exceptional year for Catch the Bus Month. We’ve already had huge amounts of interest from organisations across England, Scotland and Wales ranging from local passenger groups and community transport providers to global transport operators and representatives from across central and local government.
“Our focus this year is on accessibility and we want operators to showcase the incredible work they do to ensure everyone is able to travel. We also want to improve access by bringing together the people who plan and run services, with the people who need them.”
