Franconian travel provider Lyst Reisen, based in Zellingen, is pushing ahead with its fleet modernisation thanks to the arrival of 16 new Mercedes Benz Citaro buses. The new fleet will enter regular service in and around Würzburg from 1 September. Sinisa Ristic from Mercedes Benz Buses Sales handed over the 11 rigid and five articulated buses to Lyst Reisen Managing Director Stefan Lyding and Junior Manager Marcel Lyding on 9 August at Daimler Buses’ Neu-Ulm facility.

Lyst has already taken 55 Citaro buses in the last three years, and praises the functionality and economy of the bus.

The family-owned company started operations in 1989 with a single coach and has consistently expanded since. Just one year later, the firm extended its range of travel services and added school transport routes to its portfolio. Today, Lyst Reisen operates public transport routes in the Würzburg and Fürth regions and organises national and international coach travel, as well as rail replacement services throughout Germany. Its fleet currently comprises 125 vehicles, including 25 touring coaches and 100 buses.
