Rotala benefitted from a fast delivery time from Alexander Dennis thanks to its stock-holding of Enviro200 buses. ALEXANDER DENNIS

Alexander Dennis has supplied two Enviro200 low-emission buses to Rotala Group for its Preston Bus operation from stock. The new buses had been pre-built as stock and were delivered to Rotala just one week after the operator’s initial enquiry, says the manufacturer, allowing it to meet an increase in peak vehicle requirement at Preston Bus following a timetable change.

Alexander Dennis says it holds stock of its Enviro200 single decker in lengths of 8.9m, 9.6m and 10.8m, of which Rotala chose the shortest version which offers 30 seats. Bob Dunn, Regional Executive Director for Rotala, said: “The quick availability of these two new Enviro200 has helped us deliver network improvements for our Preston Bus passengers. The support from the Alexander Dennis team has been fantastic to allow for a rapid turnaround and delivery. We’re already operating the latest Enviro200 low-emission model at our Diamond Bus North West sister company, where they have proven themselves to be reliable and economic performers.”

Regional Sales Manager for Alexander Dennis Simon Wood added: “We’re delighted to have been able to support Rotala in meeting this urgent vehicle demand. We build our Enviro200 and Enviro400 stock for requirements like these, offering versatile vehicles finished to a great specification that allows for operational flexibility.”
