The 15 year old company has quickly grown to take over a large market share, and recently issued its 8 billionth ticket aboard an Arriva bus

Real-time information, fleet management and smart ticketing solutions specialist Ticketer says it is immensely proud of achieving a major milestone, the sale of its 8 billionth ticket. Sold on-board an Arriva Merseyside bus, the company says the achievement marks its enduring contribution and longstanding partnership with not only Arriva but the industry as a whole since its inception in 2009.

Ticketer says its ability to process such a high volume of transactions also speaks to the reliability and scalability of its products. Whether developing industry leading real-time information, fleet management and ticketing solutions, or leveraging data to enhance service delivery, Ticketer believes it has enabled operators to provide superior service to millions of passengers every day.

“Reaching 8 billion tickets is a remarkable achievement, but this milestone isn’t just about the numbers. It reflects the enduring partnerships we’ve created, our continuous innovation and the confidence that our customers have placed in our technology over the years,” says Kelly Hanna, Ticketer CEO. “We’re thrilled to celebrate this moment with Arriva and the entire bus and coach community, and are excited to keep driving innovation that makes a positive impact for operators, authorities and passengers alike.”

Looking ahead, Ticketer says its commitment to continual innovation can be seen in its latest developments, which will be showcased at Euro Bus Expo 2024. Visitors to the Ticketer stand will be able to learn about the company’s franchising offering, created by extending the existing Ticketer Portal framework and introducing a hierarchical view plus ‘franchise owner’ and ‘franchise operator’ roles, so operators and authorities alike can easily manage the complexities of running services within a regulated environment.

Additionally, the platform’s enhanced road restriction alerts function will be on show, now with new ‘hazard’ and ‘navigational’ restrictions in addition to height and width ones that are typically associated with low bridges, plus its new suite of business intelligence dashboards, the Ticketer Insights Hub, as well as the latest addition in the on-bus ticketing line-up, the Ticketer Next Generation ETM.

“We’re thrilled to be part of Euro Bus Expo 2024,” added Kelly. “We have a lot of exciting developments to share and are looking forward to showcasing our commitment to helping authorities and operators achieve success and deliver exceptional service to passengers through our latest solutions.”
