Modern technology forms part of a new display at the London Transport Museum, reports Jonathan Welch
Transport UK London Bus says it is honoured and delighted to support the London Transport Museum in telling the story of electric buses by adding to the venue’s informative displays.
In September, the museum welcomed a new interactive vehicle display into its galleries, a section of a Wrightbus Electroliner with an interactive driver’s cab and passenger space.
The bus includes high-resolution digital screens from Navaho which share route information in colour to visitors as well as a destination screen supplied by Hanover Displays and a Zenobē charger which visitors can ‘turn on.’ The bus also features a Journeo camera mirror system and Lazzerini seats.
The new exhibit has been specially engineered and fitted out by RGI Bus & Coach Refurbishment, now a part of Wrightbus. The sectioned Wrightbus Electroliner represents a fleet of 100 similar vehicles launched by the operator onto London bus routes since 2023.
