Coach holiday specialist Jason Edwards Travel has chosen Stertil-Koni’s powerful mobile column lifts to enhance efficiency and safety at its new workshop facility near Heathrow.
The lifts supplied to the operator consist of six Stertil-Koni ST1075FSA mobile columns with a combined capacity of 30 tonnes, making them suited to the demands of servicing large commercial vehicles such as buses and coaches, and providing the reliability and strength essential for maintaining a busy fleet, the company says.
The lifts feature Stertil-Koni’s ebright smart control system, which allows engineers to operate the lifts either individually or simultaneously through touch screen consoles.
To further support workshop operations, the company also invested in a range of axle stands in various sizes, to enable free wheel support when the mobile columns are removed or providing additional stability during lift operations. Safety and precision are integral to the lifts’ design,
the manufacturer says, and each column is equipped with an independent mechanical locking system to securely hold vehicles in place and a microprocessor-controlled synchronisation feature that ensures accurate lifting. Powered by a standard 415V supply, the cabled lifts require 75 seconds to reach a height of 1.85 metres and can be moved into place on their synthetic runner wheels and hydraulic pallet truck mechanism.
