Founded in 1985, Runcorn-based Anthony’s Travel is celebrating being crowned ‘Halton Family Business of the Year’ at the Halton Business Awards, held on Friday 13 June in Widnes. Managing Partner Richard Bamber commented:
“This year we celebrate 40 years of trading so to win this award is very special. As a family business with three generations active within the company we strongly believe that such businesses can make big differences within the community they serve; our community values have been a cornerstone of our company from the very beginning. To receive this award was the icing on the cake for our anniversary year.
“It’s always been a priority that despite many changes and growth in the past four decades our business has retained its family values. We have a great team of passionate individuals and trusted advisors who share the same ethos, whilst receiving the award meant a lot personally, the win is not about ‘me’ but ‘we’ as a team.
“One of our mantras is ‘make a difference not an excuse’ and hopefully our actions have had recognisable benefits our customers, community and for the surrounding area.
