On display at the recent UITP summit in Germany from Optibus was its new Control software, which creates ‘a real-time feedback loop’ through integration with its Planning, Scheduling, Rostering, and Operations tools.
The company’s suite of AI-powered software for planning and operating public transport has been boosted by the addition of the new element, which offers a live operations solution dovetailing with Optibus’ exisiting software packages.
Designed to give public transport providers precision command over live service delivery and operations, Control has been designed as
a modular cloud solution that combines real-time visibility with smart decision-making tools to help teams monitor and adapt services in the moment. Optibus says that its seamless integration with other products in its range means that Control strengthens its position as the one-stop solution for all phases of public transport service planning and delivery. Control is also vendor-agnostic, the company says, able to connect to in-vehicle systems, enabling real-time driver guidance, messaging, on-board passenger announcements, and safety features such as CCTV and emergency alerts.
