FRANCE RATP Dev sightseeing subsidiary Tootbus has launched its new Tootie app, which it says is the first conversational tourist guide powered by artificial intelligence. Available from 15 July, Tootie will be available via the Tootbus mobile app in the four cities where the company operates; Bath and London in the UK, plus Paris and Brussels. RATP says the new service will allow users to interact vocally with an intelligent travel guide, offering instant and accurate answers in no fewer than 50 different languages.

“This joint launch in our four cities marks a key step in our commitment to innovate in the service of the customer experience,” said Arnaud Masson, Executive Director for Digital & Sightseeing at RATP. “This unique conversational guide doesn’t just inform the traveller about the city, it creates a real interaction, intuitive and personalised, which makes each visit unique and richer.”
