Transdev subsidiary The Harrogate Bus Company is trialling a new ticket for those whose journey involves changing between two buses.
The company’s new ‘Switch’ ticket is being trialled during August on all of the operator’s buses in Harrogate, and the surrounding area. From 1 August, the company says the new £4 ticket will save £2 over buying two £3 capped fare single tickets. It allows up to 60 minutes to change buses, or up to 90 minutes for those whose first journey is on route 36 from Leeds.
Transdev’s Project and Marketing Manager Matt Burley said: “We received very clear feedback from customers who completed our recent ‘Your Ticket, Your Say’ survey suggesting this ticket, to make connecting journeys easier and more affordable. We’ve listened and so we’re trialling this new ticket throughout August. You don’t need to complete your entire journey within the time limit – simply board your connecting bus and scan your ticket with the driver before it expires.
“This trial ticket will be on sale throughout August, and we’re keen to receive feedback from our customers who buy and use it.”
