The Traffic Commissioner’s decisions for the well-known Peak District operator have been published following a public inquiry which began in March

In a written decision published on 14 August, Traffic Commissioner for the North West of England David Mullan has set out his findings from the public inquiry (PI) convened on 4 March 2025 at which Peak District operator Henry Hulley & Sons Ltd (licence PC0003407) and Transport Manager Alfred Crofts were asked to explain the reasons for the company’s failings. Although the operator ceased trading earlier in the year and entered administration, the Traffic Commissioner (TC) concluded by revoking its O-licence with immediate effect and imposing a financial penalty for its failure to operate a local services without reasonable excuse.
