Arriva-owned Centrebus Holdings, as reported in CBW1104, has launched a striking new ‘tiger’ brand with new-look buses ready to roar into action.
Over the coming months the people of Yorkshire will notice more and more buses appearing in a new tiger striped livery.
Martijn Gilbert, Business Director for Yorkshire Tiger, said: “We are really excited about the Yorkshire Tiger brand.
“This is a new beginning for both customers and our employees.
“As a local company we are committed to future investment to ensure we provide a good quality bus service.”
The new name and new look will be used for buses which used to be run under the Centrebus and Huddersfield Bus Company names. Yorkshire Tiger operates over 90 buses across Huddersfield, Halifax, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.
Ray Stenning of Best Impressions told CBW: “It’s a brand you can have fun with – light-hearted but with serious intent. A tiger is seen as an aggressive animal but it can also be seen as a cuddly animal, so it’s a cuddly brand with a bit of bite to it.
“It was also important for it to be standalone. There’s no visual connection with Arriva and there’s not supposed to be.
“It was good working with Yorkshire Tiger, who have a very responsive team. The staff at the launch all loved it.”
