Charges for coach operators using the West Ramp Coach Park at Heathrow Airport will be reduced to £21.56 per vehicle for 2015 and 2016. It comes after agreement was reached thanks to CPT working in partnership with both Heathrow Airport and the London Tourist Coach Operators Association (LTCOA). This is a reduction of 7% against the current price. The new charge will apply from January 1.

CPT Operations Director, Stephen Smith, said: “This is a significant agreement with Heathrow Airport and a positive result for coach operators using the West Ramp Coach Park. To achieve this cost reduction and to have it held for two years, will give operators a degree of certainty when pricing their contracts and enable them to stay competitive.”The charge will be reviewed during 2016 to determine prices for using the coach park in 2017.”

Sue Reynolds, Director of Development and Administration at LTCOA told CBW: “This news reflects the ongoing and very positive working relationship that has built up over recent month between LTCOA, CPT and Heathrow Airports Ltd. The price reduction has been agreed as a result of the dramatic increase in numbers of coach groups arriving at Heathrow. Other important developments have included the addition of group travel information on the airport’s electronic ‘Onward Travel Information Boards’ and agreements relating to the Group Marshalls ensuring their higher visibility and ease of contact. We will continue to work together to improve systems and procedures at the airport not only for coaches and coach operators, but importantly for our customers.”
