Respected County Durham operator Stanley Travel has been accepted into the membership of The Guild of British Coach Operators.

Guild Chairman John Johnson said: “We are delighted to welcome another highly respected and successful operator into the Guild. I look forward to Andrew and Ian Scott participating fully in the Guild’s activities as we continue to share best practice and showcase the best in coach travel.”

A family-owned business which has been in operation for over 50 years, the firm trades through three brands – Stanley Taxis, Stanley Coaches and The Bike Bus. With over 60 vehicles and employing more than 100 people, Stanley Travel’s says its aim is to provide the ‘personal touch’ to all of our customers, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Director, Andrew Scott said: “The Guild’s commitment to, and promotion of, like-minded service providers who are equally dedicated to meeting and providing the highest quality standards resonates acutely with all that we stand for. Wherever possible we aim to achieve accreditations that enable us to actively illustrate our drive and commitment to excellence. As such, it was a natural progression for us to apply for Guild membership.”

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2015, the Guild promotes and markets the services of its members, all of whom commit to meeting the highest quality standards, assured by regular independent audits. Prospective members have to achieve a 100% pass before being accepted into the Guild.
