Excursions 2016 is again extending its programme of free coach transfer services for visitors to the show with the addition of one route and eight new pick-up points.

This increases the number of coaches to 14, transferring visitors from 57 locations to the free entry group travel show, which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary at Alexandra Palace on Saturday, January 23.

The new coach will call at two points in and around Bristol. For the first time, visitors from the South West will have the opportunity to attend the show on a complimentary service.

New pick-up points will also extend the coverage of major towns across the Midlands, South East and East Anglia; they include Birmingham, Canterbury, Sittingbourne, Dartford, Leigh-on-Sea and Winchester. There is also a morning service collecting from six central London main line railway stations and returning late afternoon.

The coaches are organised in partnership with CPT UK and members of the Coach Marque quality scheme. They will be scheduled to arrive at Excursions from around 1030hrs, with departures for the homeward journey from 1500hrs.

Organiser Joanne Channon from Tourism South East said: “We regularly re-assess the towns and locations covered by our free coach transfers to check for any important gaps in the routes. The Birmingham collection has been re-instated to meet an existing demand and also provides a mid-way pick-up point for those travelling down from further north.”

Although the coach travel is free, it is essential to pre-book a seat.
