FRANCE Dutch supplier Ebusco has signed a deal to supply 10 electric buses to Transdev for operation in Paris. The Ebusco 2.1 vehicles have been jointly developed with Golden Dragon in China.
Willem Alexander, king of Holland and his wife, Máxima, were visiting France at the time the deal was announced. After taking a ride on an Ebusco bus, the couple were reportedly quite impressed by its performance.
While starting to establish itself in Europe, Golden Dragon has also been enjoying success in its home market and the Middle East. In October 2014, 200 10.5-meter plug-in hybrid buses were delivered to customers in Nanning, Sanya, and Tianjin. 12-meter electric buses were also supplied to Taiwan while in August, 2014 the bus maker secured a deal for 1,639 city buses with customers in the Middle East with a total value of over one billion RMB.
In 2015, Golden Dragon’s accumulated export volume passed 50,000 units. In May that year it officially launched a new marketing campaign to support its ‘new energy’ buses, aiming at improving its comprehensive product offering. By calling on the public to make more ‘green’ journeys, the manufacturer says it is fully committed to pushing forward environmentally friendly public transportation in China.
