Jeakins Coaches has announced the acquisition of Lianne Coaches of Royal Berkshire.
Lianne Coaches was established by John Dickson in 1970, who has decided it is time to take semi-retirement. He approached the Jeakins family to ask if they would continue the Lianne name on the road.
The deal includes part of the current Lianne fleet, with new vehicles being added shortly. All full time driving staff are being transferred across, as are all of Lianne Coaches’ clients.
The company will remain a stand-alone business, with the help of the Jeakins fleet during periods. Jeakins said business will remain very much as usual for Leanne Coaches, with John still around and even driving from time to time, though ‘he will be taking a well-earned rest.’
The Lianne Coaches current office will move to the Jeakins Thorpe depot, as will all the engineering operations, but Lianne’s number (01753 529441) will continue for all future bookings and enquiries along with a new email address: [email protected]
