TfL has released the latest London bus tender results.
London United maintained service 10, which will use 23 New Routemasters from January 28, while 476 remains with London General, utilising 23 existing diesel double-deckers from the same date. Also renewing on January 28 is the 89/N89, remaining with London Central using 17 existing double-deckers on the 89 and hybrids on the N89.
London General won the 76 from Arriva London North, which will use 25 New Routemasters from January 28. The company traded in the 259, which Arriva London North will take over on March 25 with 22 new double-deck hybrids.
The 436 was re-awarded to London Central, which will continue to use 2011 double-decker hybrids at a reduced PVR of 21 (from 31). The new contract commences on November 19, 2016, subject to consultation and incorporating the restructure to terminate at Battersea Park instead of Paddington. A 22nd vehicle will be used in the PM peak, crosslinked from route 63.
