DBA 218C was a former Greater Manchester PTE MCCW-bodied Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 that had been new to Salford City Transport. Seen here in Bowerham, Lancaster on September 19, 1978, having entered service earlier in the month still in PTE livery, this batch of a dozen buses had been purchased for converting from crew to one man operation in readiness for the Lancashire Agency operations.
