Carousel Buses, part of the Go-Ahead Group, has launched a new network branded Chiltern Hundreds – which adds new destinations to the company’s offering and brings improvements to existing services.
The unveiling of the revamped network also showed off ‘striking’ new branding, which should help passengers identify the services easily.
More frequent buses will run between High Wycombe and Beaconsfield – now up to every 15 minutes.
A direct link to Wexham Park Hospital from High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and Gerrards’ Cross will also be provided.
The 101 and 102 services will operate between High Wycombe and Uxbridge via Beaconsfield and Gerrards’ Cross; the 103 and X103 services will operate between High Wycombe and Watford via Beaconsfield and Amersham; the 104 will operate between High Wycombe and Slough via Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross; and the 105 will operate between Hemel Hempstead and Uxbridge via Amersham, Chesham, Gerrards’ Cross and the Chalfonts.
All of the service’s buses will offer free WiFi, contactless payments and compatibility with a new Carousel Buses app – which allows passengers to pay for services and track the buses in real time.
The company currently employs around 80 people and operates around 45 buses in High Wycombe and the wider Buckinghamshire area.
It also serves locations including Hemel Hempstead and Watford in Hertfordshire, Uxbridge in Greater London and Thame in Oxfordshire.
