All eight vehicles are expected to be on the road by the end of September
Stagecoach North Scotland has launched a fleet of eight brand new ADL Enviro 200 MMCs that are set to operate between Inverness and Elgin.
The £1.1m investment will see the new buses operate on the existing service 11 between Inverness and Inverness Airport, and the route 10 between Inverness and Elgin.
The new vehicles feature leather seats, luggage racks, free WiFi and USB charging points. They are also equipped with a vehicle tracking system which allows passengers to track when their bus will arrive.
Service 11 connects Inverness to Inverness Airport up to every 30 minutes and also extends to Nairn where it connects with route 10 to Elgin and Aberdeen. In August 2018, the service was revised to serve the new housing development at Tornagrain.
Service 10 operates from Inverness to Aberdeen, and in November 2017 the company spent £2.85m upgrading the vehicles on this route.
The timetable was also amended on the section of the route between Inverness and Elgin to provide more service 10 journeys. Five of the brand new buses will operate on service 10 between Elgin and Inverness.
One of the new buses was unveiled at Inverness Airport by David Liston, Managing Director for Stagecoach North Scotland with the deputy Lord Provost of Inverness, Coullior Bet McAllister.

All eight buses are expected to be on the road by the end of September.
