Surrey County Council has launched ‘Acorn,’ a multi-operator bus ticket for North Surrey, in response to changes in the local bus network.

A collaborative project between the council and bus operators, the new ticket will offer unlimited bus travel on most services in Elmbridge, Spelthorne, Runnymede and the eastern part of Woking. Daily and weekly tickets are available.

James Herkes, Business Development Manager of PBBM – the Southampton-based marketing agency who developed the Acorn brand – said: “Acorn is a fantastic project to be involved with, it demonstrates what can be achieved when councils and operators come together and put the passenger’s interests first.

“From the initial brief we worked closely with Bus Service Manager Laurie James and the team at Surrey CC to develop an attractive, eye catching brand, suitable for us in both printed and digital media.

“The finished project showcases our branding, design, and cartography capabilities, and proves you can deliver a high-quality brand, across multiple channels, without blowing the budget.”
