After securing £1.8m worth of funding through the Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme, Trent Barton has begun trials of a BYD-powered Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200EV.
The operator plans to invest in eight electric buses in total, and decided to test ADL’s offering to gain feedback from customers.
The bus was driven to Derby City Council House, where Council leader Chris Poulter and deputy leader Matthew Holmes had the opportunity to try it out.

“Reducing emissions caused by congestion in Derby is going to require significant and joined-up action by a wide range of organisations, including public transport providers.
