Bus routes began being transferred to other operators from Monday 25 March

West Midlands charity Accessible Transport Group has gone into administration.

The organisation operates services through sub-charities Ring and Ride and ATG Contract Services, the latter handling igo bus services across the region.

ATG Contract Services also delivers local authority and health sector contracted services, including school transport for children with additional needs at 11 West Midlands Schools.

Ring and Ride, meanwhile, provides door-to-door accessible transport for over 70,000 passengers with restricted mobility.
The group operates 615 vehicles in total – 528 minibuses and 87 larger buses for use on community bus services including igo.

All services are continued as normal, with some of igo’s 43 bus routes transferring to other operators from Monday 25 March. Transfers confirmed so far are as follows:

To Banga Bus: 530 Wolverhampton-Rocket Pool;
To Diamond Bus: 57 Wolverhampton-Bilston, 80 Moxley-Bilston and 326 Bloxwich-Bilston; and
To Johnsons: 69 Solihull-Brandwood Park.

A Network West Midlands spokesperson said: “We are working with the Administrators and other operators to ensure the continued operation of the remaining tendered services including securing new operators for these services.
“We will be working to achieve this without disruption to services.”
