Rotala plc has announced the release of its audited results for the year ending 30 November 2018.
The results showed a turnover of £62.4m – up 19%, an adjusted EBITDA of £8.8m – up 14%, an adjusted operating profit of £5.8m up 18%, an adjusted profit before taxation – up 18% to £4.23 million, an adjusted basic earnings per share – up 9% to 7.22p per share and dividends for the year paid and proposed total 2.70p per share.
The company also benefited from an increase in local bus contracts which it operates for Surrey County Council, and also in the West Midlands and the North West.
Rotala also acquired the Hotel Hoppa business which serves routes between the Heathrow airport terminals and local hotels.
The results also announced that after steadily reducing the size of operations in the South West of England, Rotala deregistered the remaining commercial services and novate the bus contracts it held to a local subsidiary of Stagecoach plc. A small part of the business was transferred to its Heathrow depot. It also disposed of the Avonvmouth depot to a property investor.
