On 2 May FirstGroup announced its most recent board changes. Ryan Mangold has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) which will take effect from 31 May 2019.
Ryan had previously served as Finance Controller for Taylor Wimpey in 2009, before moving on to serve as Group Finance Director for eight years until 2018. Prior to his roles at Taylor Wimpey, Ryan worked in the mining and basic resource sector. He joined the Anglo American group of companies in 1999 as a Financial Analyst before becoming Group Finance Controller of Mondi Group in 2004.
Julia Steyn was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director and began her new role on 2 May 2019. Before her role as Independent Non-Executive, Julia served as Vice President of Urban Mobility and Maven at General Motors (GM) until last year, initially starting as Vice President of Corporate Development and Global M&A. Prior to this she was Vice President and Co-Managing Director for Alcoa’s corporate development group, and had also worked for both Goldman Sachs and A.T Kearney.
