An operator has sold a much-loved and rare 1964 Daimler CCG5 to, he says, the best possible home.
The Roe-bodied bus registered 304VHN which was new to Darlington Corporation in 1964, has gone to Beamish Museum in County Durham, where it will be used to transport visitors around a replica 1950s town being built at the museum in a £17m project.
The Daimler has been latterly used for private hire for the past couple of years by transport consultant Gary Clark of Berkshire-based Fleet Development Ltd.
